Cornstarch, sometimes referred to as corn flour, is a carbohydrate extracted from the endosperm of corn. We're stocking cornstarch as, although it is a common ingredient in most supermarkets, it's hard to get it plastic free.

Cornstarch is a great ingredient for making a quick, easy and cheap dry shampoo as it absorbs the oils on your scalp and makes your hair look like it's just been washed.

With its cleansing properties cornstarch aids is added to many cosmetic products. Applied directly on the skin, cornstarch feels really soft and can be used as a replacement for talc. 

Our top tip: when using cornstarch in dry shampoo use a makeup brush to remove any excess dry shampoo.
