Caviar20 is excited to offer this recently restored vintage sculpture by Vasa Mihich, a Los Angeles-based artist renowned for his sleek, colorful, and captivating acrylic sculptures. 

For nearly 50 years, Mihich has been working in acrylics, whether on canvas or through sculpture.  

His sculptures, with their different geometric planes suspended in acrylic, are dynamic and endlessly fascinating.

The triangle is arguably Vasa Mihich's most iconic and collected form. The shape is an ideal vessel for the artist to demonstrate his mastery of color suspension and transformation. 

“Purple Triangle” is a quintessential example of Mihich’s exploration of shape and color. The vantage point and light source dictate the interaction of the muted purple and ice blue within the sculpture’s geometric form.

This piece is an instantly recognizable paradigm of Vasa's work. 

Mihich was a Senior Professor of Design at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) where he (not surprisingly) taught color theory for many years. After dedicating much of his career to education, Mihich is now fully committed to his studio in Los Angeles where he continues to push the potential of acrylic sculpture.
